About the pattern

The Panther pattern worn by Iranian takavar special-operations troops is a home-grown copy of the American m1942 spot camouflage, produced since the 1970s. Camopedia records that the tan or desert versions are the most commonly encountered, and that they are worn by takavar commandos as well as regular army units. This v2 render is the warmer, mid-tone take on the desert Panther: a cream ground with golden-tan spots, sitting between the pale v1 and the more olive v3. It has a sunnier, more golden character than the flat v1.

The base is a cream, slightly warmer and deeper than the pale sand of v1, and over it sit rounded, irregular spots in a golden-tan or khaki. The spots are a clear step darker than the ground, giving the pattern more definition than v1 while still staying in a warm, desert register. There is no black or heavy contrast — the whole palette stays sun-baked and warm. The shapes are organic and soft-edged, and they are a little denser than in v1, covering more of the surface.

How it reads on the garment

Because the cream ground and golden spots are well separated in value, this pattern prints with a clear, readable structure rather than the very low-contrast look of v1. On the body the cream ground sits behind the golden-tan spots, giving the surface a warm, sunlit rhythm. It reads as a classic desert spot camo, but the soft organic shapes keep it from feeling like a hard graphic. The cream ground blends cleanly into the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy.
