Developed by the US and standardized for the Desert Battle Dress Uniform from the early 1980s, it was copied widely, including long-running use in Saudi Arabia and standardization in the United Arab Emirates around 1993. This rendition is a MegaCamo colourway of that family, an unusual sage-and-mauve reading, and “Iraqi” is the catalogue label it appears under rather than a confirmed issue pattern.
