Pattern: South Korea Tonghab (Unified) Woodland — v1
The Republic of Korea’s one-pattern-for-everyone camouflage, in its classic warm woodland reading.
About the pattern
“Tonghab” (통합) translates as “Unified” in Korean, and that is exactly what it was: a single standard camouflage adopted so that one print could serve the whole of the Republic of Korea Armed Forces instead of a patchwork of local designs. Sources date the move to around 1996, when the ROK military standardised on this design as its general-issue pattern. Visually it sits squarely in the woodland family — organic, irregular masses in green, brown, tan and black that descend from the American ERDL and M81 woodlands, and the ROK version is often described as very close to the US M81. Troops nicknamed it “Frog” (개구리) at home, and it followed the earlier M-1990 combat uniform lineage.
The upshot is a pattern with a real national story: it is the camouflage the South Korean Army, Marines and the wider armed forces standardised on during the 1990s and into the 2000s, before the digital designs that followed. It is recognisable to anyone who knows classic woodland, but its “Unified” origin and native Korean nickname make it more than a generic green camo.
This v1 colorway
v1 is the warm, saturated reading of the pattern. A medium leaf-green does much of the work, broken by reddish-maroon brown patches, light tan-khaki shapes and dark charcoal-navy accents. The palette is bright and contrast-rich rather than muted — the green is a real green, the brown leans maroon, and the black shapes punch out cleanly. It is the classic “green-heavy woodland” look that most people picture when they hear the terms Tonghab or M81.
How it reads on the garment
Printed over a long-sleeve hooded tee, the Tonghab woodland wraps the torso in one continuous, medium-scale field of linked organic shapes. There are no digital pixels and no hard geometry — just soft-edged, interlocking masses that break up the silhouette the way a woodland print is meant to. From a distance it reads as a mottled green-and-brown; up close the individual leaf-like and finger-like shapes become clear. The plain light-grey hood lining frames the print and keeps the collar clean.
Why own it
It is a genuinely national issue print rather than a made-up catalogue design, which is the appeal. Collectors who like classic woodland already know the look; the Tonghab gives them that familiar character with a specific South Korean “Unified” story and the native “Frog” nickname to tell. On a modern garment it is an instantly readable, versatile camouflage — the kind that works for hiking, the range, workwear-blue-collar days, or just as a solid everyday pattern that never feels dated.
Fit, fabric and care
This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded t-shirt made for everyday layering. It is cut from a stretch 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend that moves with you and holds its shape, with a comfortable regular fit and sizes from S to 3XL. It weighs about 0.374 kg, so it packs small and layers easily under a jacket or a fleece in cooler weather.
- 94% polyester / 6% spandex

- Approx. 0.374 kg — lightweight and packable
- Wash at or below 45°C; do not bleach; do not soak for extended periods
Made to order
Each hooded tee is printed and sewn to order rather than stored in a warehouse, so the pattern is freshly applied for you. Production and fulfilment take about 4–7 days before your order is handed to shipping; courier delivery time then depends on your destination. Please double-check the size chart before ordering — because each item is made for you, returns are easier to avoid by choosing the right size up front. If a print runs slightly differently from what you see on screen, that is the nature of made-to-order garment printing.
Disclosure
This is a reproduction / military-inspired item, not an issued uniform. The “Tonghab” (Unified) naming and the 1996 standardisation date come from documented pattern history, but the garment itself is a modern printed reproduction for everyday wear.
