About the pattern

The Basij volunteer force within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has worn modern pixelated camouflage, and this render belongs to that family — a digital print of small even squares rather than leaf blobs. The v1, v2 and v3 colourways here are MegaCamo’s own labels for three distinct renders of the same pixel construction, each with a different accent. Where v1 is bright and pale and v2 is rusty, v3 takes on a khaki-gold and teal character, the most distinctive of the three.

This Basij v3 colourway

The base is a pale, cool off-white, and over it sit pixel clusters in a teal- or blue-green, a warm khaki-gold and scattered near-black accents. The combination of a cool teal-green set against a golden-tan is what makes v3 stand out — it has an unusual interplay of warm and cool that the other two do not. The pixels are small and tightly packed, so the pattern reads as a fine, busy grain. The overall cast is lighter and slightly more varied than a standard desert digital.

How it reads on the garment

Because of the warm-and-cool contrast, this pattern prints with more visual interest than a plain desert camo. On the body the pale ground sits behind the teal-green and khaki-gold pixels, giving the surface a subtle shimmer and a lively, mottled rhythm. It reads as a modern, slightly sporty digital rather than a heavy field print. The pale ground blends cleanly into the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline tidy and bright.
