About the pattern

The US M81 woodland is one of the most copied camouflage patterns in the world, and Iran has produced its own versions since the 1980s. Camopedia notes that Iranian copies vary not only in the dye shades used but occasionally in the alignment of the screens during printing, so no two Iranian M81s look entirely identical. Where v1 is the standard balanced woodland, this v3 render is a warmer, more saturated take: the same familiar M81 structure and irregular blotches, but with a deeper, richer palette that leans into olive and brown.

This M81 v3 colourway

The base is a tan, and over it sit the signature M81 woodland shapes — irregular, organic blotches with rounded edges and small branching breaks — in a rich olive-green, a warm mid-brown and near-black accents. Compared to v1, the greens here are deeper and more olive, and the browns are warmer, so the whole pattern reads as richer and a touch more saturated. The shapes are still the classic M81 proportions, clean and readable, but the colouring gives it a fuller, earthier character.

How it reads on the garment

Because the palette is richer and the values are a little deeper, this pattern prints with a fuller, more grounded feel than the lighter v1. On the body the olive and brown blotches break up the silhouette in the familiar woodland rhythm, with the tan ground providing warmth. It reads as a classic, mature woodland that is earthy and convincing at any distance. The tan ground sits well against the light hood lining and collar, keeping the neckline uncluttered.
