Pattern: US Marine Corps Desert MARPAT

This lightweight hooded tee is printed with the desert version of MARPAT – the US Marine Corps’ digital camouflage pattern developed in the early 2000s and fielded from around 2002. Where older patterns used organic blobs, MARPAT uses small squares of colour arranged so that, from a distance, they blend together. The desert version is the tan, arid reading designed for open, sunlit terrain.

The desert colourway

By eye this rendition is a light cream or off-white field of small pixel blocks in tan, khaki-brown and a scattering of darker brown, with the occasional pale grey. Up close you can see the individual square pixels; from across a room the tones merge into a soft, warm sand colour. The look is crisp and modern, distinctly more digital than the brushstroke and woodland camos around it.

How it reads on this tee

Because the pixel blocks are small and evenly spread, the pattern reads as a subtle all-over texture rather than a bold statement. Over the chest, sleeves and hood it keeps an even, consistent tone that is easy to wear – it does not shout, and it layers well with khaki, black, brown and denim. It is a clean, understated camo that still reads clearly as marine digital.

This is a lightweight performance hooded tee built for active use outdoors. It is cut from a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you for a modern athletic fit, and the fabric is light, breathable and quick-drying with an odour-resistant finish. The long sleeves and hood give you extra coverage from the sun, and the all-over print runs cleanly across the whole garment.

Made to order, sizing and care

Like every MegaCamo piece, it is printed and sewn only after you place your order, then shipped once fulfilment from our supplier is complete. Allow 4 to 7 days of production before it ships, with transport time on top. It comes in sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL, with a +/-5% tolerance from manual measurement and the print process. To keep it at its best, machine or hand wash, keep the temperature at or below 45°C, do not bleach and do not soak it for long periods.
