Pattern: Australian RAAF MMPU — maritime multiscale
MMPU is the Maritime Multiscale Pattern uniform that began rolling out to the Royal Australian Navy from October 2021, replacing the older DPNU. It is a modern, lower-contrast multiscale design built for the maritime and coastal environment.
The MMPU colourway runs in a cool grey-green range. The base is a soft grey, and over it sit interconnected flowing patches of grey-green, dark grey and a muted olive, at mixed scales so the pattern works from close up to distance. It is calmer and more blended than the earlier DPNU.
On a hooded tee this reads as a modern, low-key grey-green camo. The soft multiscale shapes blend together into a subtle, contemporary look that is easy to wear and easy to style.
Why own it: MMPU is the current Australian naval pattern, a genuinely modern multiscale design. Its restrained grey-green palette and smooth blending make it a clean, wearable piece with up-to-date military provenance.
The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.
Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.
Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.
Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
