CHINA PLA Plateau Tibet Lightweight Hooded T-Shirt

Pattern: China PLA Type 03 Plateau (Tibet-tarn) — highland

This is the PLA Type 03 Plateau Pattern, widely nicknamed “Tibet-tarn” by western collectors because of its association with PLA units in Tibet and its dot-mottled construction. It is a digital, flecktarn-like design used by Chinese army units in semi-arid, high and mountainous terrain.

The Type 03 Plateau colourway is a warm, sandy design. The base is a light tan-cream, and over it sit small dot-like clusters of brown, dark brown, olive and black, in the classic flecktarn “pointillist” build. The dots are small and dense, which is what gives the pattern its soft, blurred look at distance.

On a hooded tee the dot clusters blur into a warm, dappled tan. It reads as a genuine highland desert digital, and the warm palette makes it an easy, wearable piece that pairs well with denim and neutral layers.

Why own it: it is a real PLA pattern with a distinctive nickname and an interesting high-altitude military role. Its flecktarn-style dot construction and warm tan palette make it a clean, wearable and genuinely uncommon camo.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
