Pattern: CADPAT Arid v2 — Grey-Taupe Digital
CADPAT, the Canadian Disruptive Pattern, is the original operational pixelated camouflage, first issued to the Canadian Armed Forces in 1997. Its Arid variant was made for dry terrain, and this v2 takes that idea into a cooler, more muted range that leans more toward stone and concrete than sand.
The v2 Arid colourway turns away from warm sand toward a grey-taupe base. The pixel overlay is made of brown, soft grey-tan and charcoal-grey clusters, with very little warmth left in the palette. The result is a greyish, restrained desert digital that sits far closer to urban terrain than to a dune.
Offered on a lightweight hooded tee, this grey-taupe reading gives the Canadian digital pattern a quieter, almost urban-militia character. The pixel blocks stay clean and the palette stays neutral, so it is a versatile, understated take on one of history’s most influential camos and a top that you can wear with almost anything.
Why own it: this is the CADPAT Arid palette stripped of its warmth for a cooler, more subdued result. It is a clean all-rounder that keeps the historical significance of Canadian digital camo while blending in more easily year-round.
The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.
Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.
Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer thousands of patterns that would never be worth stocking.
Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
