Pattern: CADPAT Arid — Sand Digital
This is the dry-country variant of the Canadian Disruptive Pattern. CADPAT was the first digital camouflage fielded operationally, adopted by the Canadian Armed Forces in 1997, and its Arid colourway was developed to keep the same pixel logic useful in desert and semi-arid terrain, where the classic green woodland breaks down.
The Arid colourway is built on a pale greige and sand base. The pixel overlay adds a soft brown, a muted grey-tan and occasional darker grey clusters, so the whole thing sits in a warm, low-contrast family. It has the digital CADPAT structure but the warmth of a desert pattern rather than a woodland one.
This is the Canadian digital pattern reinterpreted for open terrain. On the shirt it reads as a sandy, neutral digital camo — light, warm and easy to pair, with the same crisp pixel texture that made CADPAT revolutionary. It is a smart, low-key look that works in summer and city settings.
Why own it: the Arid CADPAT is a genuinely useful field colourway that also happens to be a clean, wearable neutral. It is a great entry point into Canadian digital camo if you want something less green and more versatile than the classic woodland or temperate versions.
The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.
Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.
Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer thousands of patterns that would never be worth stocking.
Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
