Pattern: German Schneetarn-style Desert v2 — Flecktarn dot family

This is the second desert rendition of the German Flecktarn dot family, and it pushes the green up. The German pattern family is defined by its small, rounded dots — “Flecktarn” literally means “spot” or “mottle” — and the Bundeswehr Schneetarn winter pattern used dark-green needle-like flecks on white. This colorway sits between the two.

Where the first desert rendition kept the green muted, the v2 lets the green dots come to the fore. The base is still a warm tan-khaki, but the dot clusters now show a fuller olive-green alongside the brown and a dusty grey. The result is a richer, greener read with more contrast between the dot colours.

On a lightweight hooded tee this v2 reads greener and livelier than the first. The dot texture is clearer and the mix of green, brown and tan gives it a more camouflage-heavy, more distinctly “flecktarn” character. It is warm but with more woodland energy.

Why own it: this is the version for you if you want the German dot pattern with more green in it. It keeps the warm desert base of the family but adds the olive layer that gives Flecktarn its recognisable lively, speckled look. A genuinely wearable and historically rooted piece.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
