Pattern: Indonesian tiger stripe

This hooded long-sleeve tee carries a tiger-stripe camouflage: broad, parallel, slightly wavy bands of olive green, brown and a darker blue-grey, separated by thin khaki-coloured gaps. The stripes run across the whole garment in a balanced, rhythmic way — some wider, some narrower — and it is that repeated horizontal banding, drawn with irregular, brushy edges rather than clean lines, that defines the tiger-stripe family.

Tiger stripe is a jungle camouflage family that grew out of the brushstroke patterns originally developed for close, dense vegetation in Southeast Asia, later adopted and adapted by special-operations and guerrilla forces across the region. “KOGABDIKPARA” is MegaCamo’s catalogue name for this Indonesian-themed interpretation; treat it as our label for the piece rather than a verified official unit designation. How it reads on the garment

On the body the stripes run down and across, so the pattern flows with the fabric instead of sitting as a static image. The combination of olive, brown and the darker blue-grey band gives it more depth than a two-tone tiger stripe, and the khaki gaps keep the whole thing readable. On a long-sleeve cut the banding continues along the sleeves, which keeps the rhythm of the pattern from the hood to the cuffs.

Why own this lightweight hooded tee?

Tiger stripe has a cult following among camo collectors precisely because it looks like nothing else — the repeated, flowing bands are instantly recognisable and very different from a conventional woodland. Fit, fabric & care

The fabric is a soft, stretchy 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend — comfortable, quick to dry and easy to move in. It is cut long-sleeve with a hood, in sizes S to 3XL, and is light at around 0.374 kg. As a printed garment it carries roughly ±5% production tolerance, so if you are between sizes, size up or check the chart.

Care: machine wash at or below 45°C, do not bleach, and avoid prolonged soaking to keep the colours from pooling. Slight variation in print placement between pieces is normal on a made-for-you garment.
