Pattern: China Reverse DPM (Early) — leaf disruptive
This is an early rendition of the Chinese “Reverse DPM”. DPM-style leafy disruptive patterns spread worldwide after the British example, and the PLA and Chinese forces developed their own leaf-based variants. “Reverse DPM” is a collector term for the Chinese version, which inverts and recolours the familiar British disruptive logic.
The Early Reverse DPM colourway is a fresh, quite bright green woodland. The base is a light khaki-green, and over it sit irregular lobate shapes of bright green, darker green, brown-black and a soft off-white. The shapes are rounded and organic, so it reads as a leafy, high-contrast woodland rather than a digital pixel pattern.
On a long-sleeve hooded shirt the leaf shapes spread across the chest and arms and read clearly as a green woodland. It is bright and busy, with a lively, slightly retro look that still works well as an everyday camo.
Why own it: it is a genuine Chinese national leaf pattern with an interesting “reverse” pedigree that collectors appreciate. Its bright green-and-white mix is distinctive and different from the more saturated European and American woodlands.
The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.
Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.
Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer patterns that would never be worth stocking.
Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
