Canadian CADPAT v2 Lightweight Hooded T-Shirt

Pattern: CADPAT — Olive Green Digital (v2)

CADPAT, the Canadian Disruptive Pattern, was the first operational pixelated camouflage, issued to the Canadian Armed Forces from 1997 and the pattern that inspired US MARPAT. The system replaced soft-edged camouflage with computer-generated blocks of colour, a design trick that keeps the wearer from resolving into a clean shape at medium and long range.

This v2 colourway pushes the palette toward olive rather than bright green. The base is a muted yellow-olive khaki, and the pixel overlay brings a dark charcoal-green, a softer sand-tan and a subtle rust-brown accent. The overall tone is calmer and more earthy than the theatrical green of the standard field pattern.

That olive reading makes it a quieter, more subdued take on the Canadian digital design — closer to the concept of a working utility camo than a display colourway. On the shirt it drapes as a muted green digital that still clearly reads as CADPAT at a glance, and the darker pixel clusters give it a solid, utilitarian feel.

Why own it: if the classic CADPAT green is a little loud for you, this is the understated sibling. It keeps the unmistakable pixel texture and the Canadian heritage, but in a palette that works as an everyday, go-with-anything camo.

The garment. This is a lightweight long-sleeve hooded T-shirt, printed all over with the pattern you see on the image. It is cut with long sleeves and a hood and fits as a regular, athletic top. The fabric is a 94% polyester / 6% spandex blend, so it stretches with you, feels smooth against the skin and takes the all-over print cleanly. It is a lightweight piece — about 0.374 kg — and runs in sizes S to 3XL.

Fit and size. Because the sizes run S–3XL, pick the one closest to your usual top size; the stretch in the spandex gives a little forgiveness, but for a closer cut take a size down and for a looser, layer-over fit take a size up. The print is applied across the whole garment, so the pattern continues over the chest, arms and hood without a break.

Made to Order. Each shirt is printed and sewn after you place your order. Production and fulfilment take roughly 4 to 7 days before the item ships — that is the time to make and pack it, not the total delivery time, which then depends on transport once it leaves us. It is not sitting on a shelf, and that is what lets us offer thousands of patterns that would never be worth stocking.

Care. To protect the print, machine wash at or below 45°C, do not use bleach and avoid prolonged soaking. Launder on a normal cycle with like colours and don’t tumble dry hot. Cold, gentle washing is the best way to keep the colours bright.
